Heritage
Fire and steam, harnessed by early humans, ushered in a new era by making mechanical movement possible. Thermax came into existence by harnessing the power of steam created by boilers. Thus the company was formed in 1966. In the same year, A. S. Bhathena formed Wanson India Ltd. with a Belgian firm, Wanson, to produce small boilers from a factory in Dadar, Mumbai. Initially founded in 1960 as Thermax, the corporation changed its name in 1980 to Thermax Limited.

Thermax's current prominence is a direct result of the visionary leadership of our late Chairman R. D. Aga. From our earliest products, Vaporax and Thermopac, to our present lineup, as well as from landing our first export order to establishing a foothold in international markets, we've come a long way.
