SJVN Share Price

The Government of India (GOI) and the Government of Himachal Pradesh (GoH) established SJVN Limited on May 24, 1988, as a joint venture. SJVN Limited is a Mini Ratna, Category-I and Schedule -' A' CPSE under the administrative jurisdiction of the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India (GOHP). The Government of India owns 59.92% of SJVN, the Government of Himachal Pradesh owns 26.85%, and the general public owns the remaining 13.23%. SJVN's current paid-up and permitted capital amounts are 3,929.80 Crore and 7,000 Crore, respectively. As of March 31, 2022, the total net worth is Rs.13128.61 billion.

The Company has expanded from a single project and a single State operation (the 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station in Himachal Pradesh) to seven projects with a combined installed capacity of 16.5 MW and a 400-kilovolt transmission line spanning 86 kilometers. Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, and Arunachal Pradesh in India, and the neighboring nations of Nepal and Bhutan, are all locations where SJVN is either in the process of developing or already functioning power projects.

By 2023, SJVN hopes to have a capacity of 5,000 MW; by 2030, 25,000 MW; and by 2040, 50,000 MW. There are now 2016.5 MW operating in SJVN's portfolio of 41,996 MW, 4526 MW being built, and 17746 MW in the pre-construction and S&I stages of development. The Ministry of Power, Government of India, has designated the Dibang basin in Arunachal Pradesh for a capacity of 5097 MW, and 12610 MW worth of Pumped Storage Projects (PSPs) are now being allocated.

On February 19, 2016, SJVN, in a joint venture (JV) with Power Grid, IL&FS Energy Development Company, and Nepal Electricity Authority, commissioned the 86-kilometer long, 400-kilovolt (kV) double-circuit Indo-Nepal Cross Border Power Transmission corridor between Sursand (the border between the two countries) and Muzaffarpur. Together, the Prime Ministers of India and Nepal celebrated the 20th anniversary of the dedication by presenting it to their respective countries. In addition to those above, the Company is working on constructing a 400 kV double circuit-related transmission line that will stretch 217 kilometers from the Arun-3 HEP pot headyard in Nepal to the town of Bathnaha, located on the Indo-Nepal border. In FY2021-22, the Company had a profit of Rs.977.52 crore after tax on revenue of Rs.2625.54 crore. The entire dividend payment for SJVN for the fiscal year 2021-22 is Rs. 668.07 Crore.
