Shree Renuka Sugars Limited (SRSL) is an integrated manufacturer with a critical sugar concentration, power, and ethanol byproducts. SRSL operates three leased facilities in Ajara, Maharashtra; Arag, Karnataka; and Aland, Karnataka. The company's primary production facilities opened on October 25, 1995, in Munoli Athani and Havalgah. SSL's daily sugar refining capacity of 4,000 tons is the highest in India (TPD). In 1998, the business purchased the Nizam Sugars Limited sick unit (sugar mill) at the Sudhanagar Sugar Unit Parigi Mandal, close to the Hindupur Ananthapur District in Andhra Pradesh. The sugar mill had a capacity of 1250 TCD and was located on land spanning 135.552 acres.

After the previous acquisition, we moved all the equipment and personnel to our Munoli Unit in Belgaum and increased our production capacity to 2500 TCD that year. In the same year (1999), SRSL began commercial sugar production at its Munoli unit and signed a power purchase agreement with the Karnataka Electricity Board for the sale of 7.55 MW of excess electricity for an initial period of 10 years from the date of commercial production and a renewal period of 20 years at a rate of Rs. 2.25 per kilowatt hour with escalation at the rate of 5% per year.

In 2000, the firm built an 11.2 MW cogeneration facility to convert Bagasse into energy. In 2002, SRSL set up a distillery at our Munoli plant with a capacity of 60 KL to produce ethanol. In 2003, the firm upgraded its co-generation ability from 11.2 MW to 20.5 MW by installing a new turbine and boiler. As of the same year, 2003, SRSL had established a sugar refinery at the Munoli facility, with a production capacity of 250 tons per day (TPD). In 2004, the firm established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Renuka Commodities DMCC, in the Dubai Free Trade Zone, United Arab Emirates, to engage in international sugar wholesale trade.

The firm has rented out Unit II in Ajara, Maharashtra, and Unit III in Mohannagar, Maharashtra, since 2004 and 2005, respectively. The SRCL IPO was published in 2005. Due to its strategic seaside location, the Company plays a pivotal role in international trade. The firm and the Brazilian sugar tycoon signed a memorandum of understanding in 2006.
