As an integrated pharmaceutical firm, Sequent Scientific was once known as P I Drugs & Pharmaceuticals. The Scheme of Amalgamation of the Company with P I Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. was authorized by the Hon"ble High Court of Bombay. The company changed its name from PI Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. to Sequent Scientific Ltd. by the Scheme of Amalgamation granted by the Honorable High Court of Bombay vide its judgment dated June 16, 2009.

The Registrar of Companies accepted the application to change the company's name to Sequent Scientific Ltd. on October 27, 2009. A new Certificate of Incorporation was issued with that alteration, effective as of the same day.

Since its founding in 2002, SeQuent has grown into an international leader in both the animal health (API and formulation) and human health (clinical research and development) sectors of the pharmaceutical industry (API).

P I Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. was founded in 1991 to meet the varying needs of the pharmaceutical sector via the production and export of high-quality, specific formulations.

It has a broad presence across treatments such as anti-malarial, anthelmintics, anti-infective, antiviral, central nervous system (CNS), and dermatological and is dedicated to developing and delivering high-value, low-volume niche and complicated APIs.

Sequent has made infrastructure investments to build a versatile, integrated unit that can produce various sophisticated and specialized APIs. In the markets governed by the Food and Drug Administration and the World Health Organization, our production facilities can keep up with the surging demand for our flagship goods.

Revenue for the most recent quarter came in at Rs. 2,203.25 billion, while net income was Rs. 2,584.87 billion.
