Incorporated on March 12th, 2011, as Smartgrid Automation Distribution and Switchgear Ltd, Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Schneider Electric. On December 8, 2011, the company's name was changed to "Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd," and a new certificate of incorporation was issued by the Registrar of Companies in Gujarat Dadar and Nagar Haveli as a result of the modification.

For its growth in Aurangabad, Sterlite Technologies Limited commissioned Schneider Electric Infrastructure Limited to build a 110 kV Intake Substation and connect it to the necessary transmission lines and civil works (Maharashtra). Design, supply, and installation of two SCADA-compatible E-Houses for Mumbai electrical distribution were granted contracts by Reliance Infrastructure Limited, an established client.

The company received a contract from BSES Yamuna Power Limited to do installation testing and commissioning for the 33/11 kV S/SforTibbia College Delhi. As part of their ongoing plant development efforts in Vadodara, Grasim Industries Limited, a Birla Group company, has placed an order for the Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of a SCADA-compatible 66/11 kV Intake Substation (Gujarat).

For the JSW Steel facility in Salem, the company has been commissioned to design, supply, and install a new 132/11 VK bay (Tamil Nadu). Head-End System for Smart Meters in UP& Haryana was ordered by L&T (EESL). The Company completed the design, engineering, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the 11 kV switchgear, Transformers, and Associated equipment needed to deliver input to the expanded Saint Gobain factory in Chennai during the 2017–2018 fiscal year.

The project was commissioned within the agreed-upon schedule and to the client's complete satisfaction. The 11/132 kV Transformer, Extension Bay for the Assam Electricity Generating Power Station, was supplied, installed, tested, and commissioned by the Company in FY2017-18.
