A fair growth of 18.28% in the revenue at Rs. 2977.90 millions was reported in the September 2022 quarter as compared to Rs. 2517.64 millions during year-ago period.The Company has registered profit of Rs. 558.36  millions for the quarter ended September 2022, a growth of 20.28%  over Rs. 464.22 millions millions achieved in the corresponding quarter of last year.Operating Profit saw a handsome growth to 1129.16 millions from 924.32 millions in the quarter ended September 2022.

The revenue zoomed 23.46% to Rs. 2907.18 millions for the quarter ended December 2022 as compared to Rs. 2354.79 millions during the corresponding quarter last year.Net Profit recorded in the quarter ended December 2022 rise to 28.97% to Rs. 568.77  millions  compared to R. 441.00 millions in corresponding previous quarter.The company reported a good operating profit of 1100.48 millions compared to 912.28 millions of corresponding previous quarter.

Rainbow Children’s Medicare (RCML) has inaugurated its latest 55 bed spoke hospital at OMR (Sholinganallur), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. With this development the Company is initiating its hub-and-spoke model of Hyderabad and Bengaluru at Chennai. The hospital located at OMR (Sholinganallur), has been envisaged as a spoke hospital and will serve to strengthen the presence of Rainbow in Chennai.

This hospital will provide comprehensive pediatric and obstetrics services which includes consultant led 24X7 emergency care in pediatrics and obstetrics, outpatient services and level 3 NICU services. The hospital will transfer all complex patients requiring tertiary and quaternary care treatment to the Hub hospital at Guindy thereby emphasizing the multi-disciplinary and collaborative team approach of the RCML brand.

RCML is working constantly to improve its service offering to achieve its goal of providing quality pediatric healthcare across cities. The Company intends to add 1,000 beds in its target cities of Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, National Capital Region and Tier-2 cities of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu over the next 5 years.

British International Investment Plc has sold its entire 14.45 per cent stake in Rainbow Children's Medicare for an estimated Rs 1,078 crore through open market transactions. Those who picked up the shares of the company are foreign portfolio investors and domestic mutual fund.

According to the bulk deal data available with the National Stock Exchange (NSE), British International Investment Plc offloaded a total of 1,46,66,112 shares of the company. The shares were sold at an average price of Rs 735-Rs 735.55 apiece, taking the combined value of the transaction to Rs 1,078.48 crore.

Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Government of Singapore, Stichting Depositary APG Emerging Markets Equity Pool, India Acorn ICAV - Ashoka India Opportunities Fund and ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund were the buyers of the shares.

With this development, the company is further strengthening its presence and reaching a cumulative bed strength of 830 beds in Hyderabad. The new hospital has been envisaged as a large spoke hospital and will form an important part of the Rainbow network in Hyderabad. This hospital will provide comprehensive pediatric and obstetrics services which includes consultant led 24X7 emergency care in pediatrics and obstetrics, outpatient services and level 3 neonatal and pediatric intensive care services. The hospital will complement the services offered at the Hub hospital at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
