Rail Vikas Nigam Share Price

On January 24, 2003, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited began operations as a Public Limited Company in New Delhi. On February 18, 2003, the Company was granted its Certificate of Commencement of Business. The company also has the prestigious "Schedule A - Public Sector Enterprise designation." The company was granted "Category I Miniratna Company" status by the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE), as communicated in a letter from the Ministry of Railways ('MoR') dated September 19, 2013.

As an organization charged with carrying out projects on behalf of MoR, the Company is a government-owned enterprise (GCE). To develop, mobilize, and implement rail projects to improve golden quadrilateral and port connections, the Company was formed. Company activities include:

New line construction. Line doubling (including 3rd and 4th lines). Gauge conversions related to rail infrastructure.

Transportation system electrification The concession deal with the Ministry of Railways includes the following: metro projects, workshops, major bridges, construction of cable-stayed bridges, manufacturing units, institution buildings, and a split of freight income. Rail Vikas has received 172 projects from the MoR since its creation in 2003, with 166 projects being approved for implementation.

Sixty have been finished for Rs. 167777.00 million, while the rest are still in progress. As of February 28, 2018, the Company has 106 active projects with an order book of Rs.686836.20 million. After the fiscal year in March 2017, the firm has completed 713.73 km in overall project length, including 355.73 km in doubling and 358 km in railway electrification.

Typically, the Company operates on a turnkey basis, taking responsibility for all aspects of a project's development (from initial ideation to completion), such as design, estimating, bidding, and contract administration. The company's projects are dispersed throughout the nation. Thus 37 project implementation units (PIUs) have been set up in various places to carry out the work in their immediate vicinity.

The Indian Railways are the company's largest customer. In addition to private companies, it also serves the federal, state, and local governments. The President of India, acting via the Ministry of Railways, Government of India (the selling shareholder), issued 253457280 equity shares having a face value of Rs 10 each through an Initial Public Offering (IPO) for a cash price of Rs 19 per equity share, for a total of Rs 477.11 Crores. Each equity share has a face value of Rs 10.

The IPO set the price per share of equity at Rs 19. In 2017, the Ministry of Railways (MOR) allocated Rs 4776.41 crore to Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL) to fund the company's annual project spending.

Overall, RVNL has doubled 2353.32 kilometers, converted 1590 kilometers to a different gauge, built 213.82 kilometers of new lines, and electrified 2837.07 kilometers of track. As of March 31, 2017, RVNL has completed 6994.21 km of the 17689 km total length of 161 sanctioned projects (8 projects totaling 902.8 km in length are still to be sanctioned). Throughout 2016–17, the physical completion of the project amounted to 713.73 kilometers (355.73 kilometers of doubling and 358 kilometers of railway electrification). Besides designated railway electrification projects, doubling also included the electrification of an additional 199.71 kilometers of track.

This includes 315.2 kilometers of doubling, 17 kilometers of the new line, 86.3 kilometers of gauge conversion, 42 kilometers of metropolitan transport project, and 425 kilometers of railway electrification, all completed during the 2017–18 fiscal year on RVNL.
