About Orient Cement
Orient Cement Limited is an Indian publicly traded corporation. On July 22nd, 2011, the business was officially formed. With effect from April 1, 2012, thanks to a plan of arrangement sanctioned by the Hon'ble Orissa High Court, the Company has taken over OPIL's cement business on a going-concern basis. Manufacturing facilities are currently situated in Devapur in Telangana, Jalgaon in Maharashtra, and Chittapur in Karnataka, and the company's primary business activity is the production and selling of cement. In a press release dated September 26, 2015, the company announced that commercial production has begun at its new green field integrated cement facility in Chittapur, Karnataka.
In 2017, the firm automated procedures to better monitor and respond to quality issues. It raised the bar for quality control throughout all of its factories through centralized quality control and cement laboratories. Additionally, the firm set up a concrete lab at its Chittapur manufacturing facility to demonstrate the usefulness of its products in concrete. The Company's premium cement Birla.A1 StrongCrete was introduced during FY2018-19, and it has received positive feedback from clients owing to its high quality.

StrongCrete is an engineered cement used in structural concrete elements such as footings, beams, columns, and slabs. Birla. Grinding together clinker, gypsum, and coarsely ground fly ash produces A1 Premium Cement. Its products may be used in commercial, institutional, and private buildings. The company has factories in the Indian states of Telangana and Maharashtra, namely in Devapur and Chittapur. It can produce eight tons of cement yearly at its plants (MTPA).

L/SURV/ONL/RV/KS/(2022-2023)/42 dated 3-1-2023, seeking clarification/ confirmation on the recent news item which appeared in the www.tradingview.com dated 3 Jan 2023, Orient Cement has clarified that in terms of Regulation 30 of the SEBI LODR Regulations, 2015, the Company has promptly intimated the Stock Exchanges regarding all events and disclosed all information, that have a bearing on the operations/performance of the Company which include all price sensitive information, etc., as and when required. With regard to the news item, the Company has further stated that the Company is not privy to any such discussion, and therefore cannot comment on the same. Orient Cement terminates MoU with Adani Power Maharashtra

The Company has accepted the position of APML and accordingly, the said non-binding MoU stands terminated
Orient Cement has terminated a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Adani Power Maharashtra (APML) for setting out the understanding for facilitating bona fide use of land identified for exploring the possibility of establishing a Cement Grinding Unit (CGU) at Tiroda, in the State of Maharashtra.
APML has requested the Company to not to pursue this venture further as they are not able to obtain the required MIDC clearances for sub-leasing the parcel of land required for the CGU, due to some legal issues. Also, the timelines as agreed upon as per MoU have crossed. The Company has accepted the position of APML and accordingly, the said non-binding MoU stands terminated.
