JK Lakshmi Cement Share Price

On August 6, 1938, the State of Rajasthan officially recognized JK Lakshmi Cement (JKLC) Ltd. With plants in Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, and Odisha, the Company is a major producer and supplier of cement and cementitious products such as RMC and AAC blocks. To stay abreast of its client's wants and needs, the company's Technical Service Cell routinely and creatively contacts individual house builders, masons, and other business associates to discuss building alternatives.

The company started in 1982 when it established a cement plant in Sirohi, Rajasthan, with a small capacity of 0.5 million tons. In 1995, after formerly operating as Straw Products Ltd, the company changed its name to J.K. Corp Limited and expanded into the paper cement and magnetic tape industries. The Lakshmi Chattan brand was launched in 1998 as a new product line for the corporation.

During the year, the company won two awards for its environmental stewardship efforts: the Golden Peacock National Award for Environment Management System from the World Environment Foundation and the Greentech Safety Award 2003-04 from the Greentech Foundation.

In 2004–2005, the firm stopped producing magnetic tapes, and in that same year, it rebranded as JK Lakshmi Cement, formerly known as Lakshmi Cement. In 2004–2005, the firm began selling RMC produced at its Gurgaon factory under the JK Lakshmi Ready Mix Concrete brand.

With an effective date of October 6, 2005, the company became known as JK Lakshmi Cement Limited. In 2005-06, the Company's Investment Division was successfully divested as part of a de-merger scheme. Effective as of March 31, 2006, the JKLC and AICL Scheme of Reconstruction Arrangement and Demerger went into effect. In 2007, JK Lakshmi Cement Limited was honored with the Golden Peacock Award for Corporate Social Responsibility.

A major turning point in JKCL's history came in March when it officially opened for business after completing construction on its Phase I Captive Thermal Power (18 MW) facility. Cement mills Nos. 4 and 5 were launched in the same year (2007) after the firm upgraded its kilns.

The Company increased its clinker production capacity from 42.90 to 46.20 million tons per year at its integrated plant in Jaykaypuram during the 2014 fiscal year. It also increased its cement grinding capacity from 52.93 to 66.43 million tons per year by erecting a second grinding unit in Jharli, Haryana, and by 7 million tons per year at its integrated plant in Sirohi.

The Company's 6 MW Rajasthan Solar Power Project was officially opened for business in the 2014 fiscal year. The Company's state-of-the-art factory in Jharli, Haryana, began producing AAC Blocks under the brand name "JK SMART BLOX" during the 2014 fiscal year. While AAC blocks are still relatively novel in the United States, they are widely employed in industrialized nations and are favored over conventional red clay bricks.

With the launch of the Surat Split Grinding Unit in October 2016, production capacity was increased by 1.35 million metric tons. The cement grinding capacity of the Durg Cement Plant, which began operations in March 2015, has been increased to 2.7 million metric tons (MT) after balancing and upgrading both Cement Mills.

The subsidiary of Udaipur Cement Works Ltd Company's Pyro Section and the 6 Km long overland Belt Conveyor have been commissioned, and the Cement Mill trial commissioning has begun. With this, UCWL's total integrated capacity has increased to 1.6 million MT. Power generation at the 7.50 MW Waste Heat Recovery Project in Durg was successfully commissioned in November 2017.

The Durg Plant's Cement Capacity has been increased from 1.80 Million Tonnes to 2.70 Million Tonnes, and the Clinker Capacity has been increased from 1.49 Million Tonnes to 1.95 Million Tonnes, all for a mere Capital cost of Rs 50 Crore only.
