J.K. Cement Limited (JK Cement) is one of the leading cement makers in Northern India. J.K. Cement is among the country's top producers in terms of installed grey cement capacity. The range of Portland Pozzolana Cement ('PPC') produced by the company spans from grey cement (grade 53) through white glue (grades 43 and 33) to Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) (grey cement). JK Waterproof is an additional product offered by JK Cements that may be applied to floors, walls, and other surfaces. The J.K. distributes the goods. For OPC products like cement and Sarvashaktiman, J.K. is Excellent for PPC goods and J.K. Cement in white and camel colors. Establishing a green-field dual-process white cement-cum-grey cement factory in the free trade zone in Fujairah U.A.E. to serve the GCC and African markets is the company's first move abroad. The Fujairah factory can manufacture up to 1 million tons of grey cement annually and 0.6 million tons of white cement annually.

In 1987, J.K. Cement was the first company in Bamania, Rajasthan, to build a captive power plant. When meeting the need for renewable energy, J.K. Cement was the first cement company to establish a waste heat recovery power plant. From 1998 to 2004, the company's Nimbahera site underwent upgrades to its kilns, cement mills, and other equipment, bringing its aggregate installed capacity up to 2.8 MTPA. The company's captive power-generating capacity at its various locations exceeds 140.7 MWs. With a five-stage pre-heater and an in-line calciner kiln plant, the second grey cement plant at the preexisting Mangrol began production in 2001 with an installed capacity of 0.75 MTPA. The firm established a 10-MW turbine in 2005-2006 to accommodate demand in the grey cement market.

In 2006, the business established Jaykaycem Limited as a wholly owned subsidiary and used that year to purchase property in Mudhol, Karnataka, to construct a Greenfield Grey Cement factory. The corporation approved a rise in the Working Capital Facility (both financed and unfunded) from Rs. 65 crores to Rs. 105 crores in 2006–07. Kicked off all captive power projects, including the 10 MW turbine, 20 MW Petcoke-based Captive Power Plant, and the waste heat recovery power plant. In 2007, the firm paid Rs.42 crores to IDBI for the Nihon Nirmaan Ltd properties in Gotan and later opted to use the site to make Grey cement. The corporation had begun to expand internationally after making strides to strengthen its foothold inside the home market. It established a 2.25 MTPA grey cement facility in the United Arab Emirates via its wholly owned subsidiary, J K Cement Works (Fujairah) FZC, in November 2007 to meet rising demand in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) area. The firm established J.K.Cement (Fujairah) FZ as a wholly owned subsidiary in 2007–08 to operate a cement plant and invest in the United Arab Emirates.

The company's 10 MW Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant went live in March 2008 in Nimbahera. In 2009, the company established a green-field unit in Muddapur, Karnataka, to gain access to the markets in southwest India. In addition, J.K. Cement increased its white cement capacity at its Rajasthan cement plant in Gotan by 0.2 MnTPA in 2012, bringing the total white cement capacity to 0.6 MnTPA. The company also commissioned a 50 MW coal-based captive power plant at the Karnataka unit and a 7.5 MW coal-based captive power plant at its Rajasthan cement plant in Gotan. J.K. Cement commissioned a 1.5 MnTPA grinding unit for grey cement capacity at Jhajjar Haryana in 2014. The Gotan unit's wall putty production was also expanded. At its Mangrol, Rajasthan, location, the company also started up a grey cement production facility with a capacity of 1.5 MnTPA during the year.
