JCL, or Jai Corp Limited, was founded on June 6, 1985. The business produces woven sacks and textiles to create Flexible intermediate bulk containers (FIBC Jumbo Bags). Manufacture, processing, and marketing of CR steel coils and sheets, GP/GC coils/sheets, and HR coils/plates; investment consulting services; land and building construction; master batch production of PP staple fiber; The plastics processing sector is still a priority, but the corporation is also putting resources into other promising new areas, such as SEZ infrastructure development, venture capital, and real estate. On June 12, 1985, the company was issued its Certificate of Incorporation.

The following month, in July of that year, Jai Corp made its debut on the stock market with a public offering. In January of 1987, JCL began commercial production of HDPE/PP Woven Sacks at its manufacturing plant in Murbad, Maharashtra. The factory has an installed capacity of 800 t.p.a. Starting in January 1990, the second machine in Murbad began producing FIBC fabrics and HDPE/PP woven sacks with an installed capacity of 1200 t.p.a. In 1992, commercial production started at the company's third manufacturing plant, located in Silvassa, producing FIBCs, also known as "Jumbo Bags." Formerly known as Jai Fibres Ltd, the firm is now known as Jai Fibre Industries Ltd. On December 6, 1993, we got a new certificate reflecting this change in our legal name. Jai Corp Limited is the new name after another rebranding.

Because of the rebranding on August 30, 1994, a new certificate of incorporation was issued that day. The firm set up its technical services and development cell in 2000–01 to reduce energy usage in the manufacturing process and speed up the creation of new machines. In 2002–03, Village Kahdoli Silvassa became home to a 100% Export-Oriented Unit, which produces woven sacks of cloth and similar goods for export. Since November 2003, the Corporation has not produced anything at its plastic processing plant in Rakholi (Silvassa). Jai Corp has promoted three Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV) for power generation, transmission, and distribution to the Special Economic Zone region. These SPVs are co-developer under the rules of SEZ Act 2005.

These Companies are as follows Urban Energy Generation Pvt. Ltd Urban Energy Transmission Pvt. Ltd and Urban Energy Distribution Pvt. Ltd. In September of 2007, the company acquired Urban Infrastructure Venture Capital Pet Fibres Urban Infrastructure Trustee and Prime Wovens. From September 20, 2007, Venture Capital and Urban Infrastructure Trustee became wholly owned subsidiaries of the firm. In 2007–2008, the parent firm expanded into the international real estate market using a Mauritius-based subsidiary. Through one of its subsidiary companies, Urban Infotech Solutions Pvt Ltd, Jai Corp had planned to make a splash in the information technology (IT) and telecommunications (T&T) industry. During the year under review, 375000 preference shares were redeemed at a premium in accordance with the terms of the issue. As of March 31st, 2014, 7974900 preference shares were still outstanding after the redemption. Over 300,000 preference shares were redeemed at a premium during the 2014-15 fiscal year.

The Board authorized the redemption of an additional 300,000 preference shares. Shareholders voted at the 28th Annual General Meeting on September 28, 2013, to extend the redemption date of these preference shares by up to two years.
