About HT Media
Regarding daily newspaper circulation, HT Media Ltd is India's number two print media firm. Hindustan Times, their main publication, is a household name in India. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hindustan Times Ltd. To name a few of the company's subsidiaries, we have India's Hindustan Media Ventures HT Music & Entertainment, a Privately Held Corporation Publication Company: HT Burda Media, Ltd. We are HT Digital media Holding Limited. Hi, GlobalEducation ED World Privilege limited HT Education Limited On December 3, 2002, HT Media Ltd. was formed as a continuing company.
On July 1, 2003, HTL transferred its media business, including all of its printing and publishing endeavours, except for its Printing Business in New Delhi, to HT Media Ltd. With this change, Searchlight Publishing House Ltd. is now wholly owned by HT Media Ltd. Later, on October 2nd, 2004, the business entered into a separate arrangement to buy HTL's printing operation in New Delhi. HT Media and Bennett Coleman & Co Ltd formed a 50/50 joint venture in February 2007 to publish a daily newspaper called Metro Now aimed at young people in the Indian capital of Delhi.
In partnership with The Wall Street Journal, the firm launched the business daily Mint in Delhi and Mumbai in February 2007. They also released a website, Livemint.com, which has the makings of a comprehensive financial portal by providing its users with news, stock quotations, alerts, share trading platforms, etc. In addition, HT Media has launched an FM radio station called "Fever 104" in partnership with Virgin Radio UK. Through one of its subsidiaries, the FM radio station went on air in Delhi in November 2006, Mumbai in January 2007, and Bangalore in March 2007.
HT Media received the World Young Reader Prize from the World Association of Newspapers in France in the Special Mention Category in 2006 and the World Young Reader Prize from the Public Service Category Jury Commendation in 2007.
Two commercial printing machines (Baker Perkins) were purchased and put into operation in Noida and Navi Mumbai during the 2007–2008 fiscal year. Firefly e-Ventures Ltd. (formerly known as Medialab Web Solutions Ltd.) and Hindustan Media Ltd. were established as wholly-owned subsidiaries. Fever 104, the company's FM radio station, debuted in Kolkata, India, in January 2008. The first issue of Mint hit newsstands in Chandigarh and Pune in March 2008. Firefly c-Ventures Ltd, a corporation-owned subsidiary, introduced a new employment website (www.shine.com) in April 2008. The company's Hindi daily newspaper, Hindustan, was first distributed in Chandigarh, Mohali, and elsewhere in Punjab on April 21, 2008.
They first published their Hindi newspaper in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, on May 4, 2008. They launched their Dehradun-based, Hindi-language daily newspaper on May 23, 2008. In 2008-09, the firm began producing Hindustan Times in Kanpur. Also, its cutting-edge printing plant in Mumbai was put through its paces in a series of test runs. The business formed HT Burda in a joint venture with the German media conglomerate Burda Druck GmbH to handle pre-press and contract printing using Rotogravure technology for third parties.
With an effective date of January 1, 2009, the firm bought the radio business of HT Music and Entertainment Company Limited, which, under the brand name "Fever 104," provides entertainment radio broadcasts and other associated activities in the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bangalore.
