Fibre Cement Sheets, Aerocon Panels, AAC Blocks, Material Handling and Processing Plant and Equipment, and Thermal Insulation Products are all manufactured and sold by Hyderabad Industrial Limited (Refractories). Founded on June 17, 1946, Hyderabad Industries Limited is a leading company member of the C.K.Birla group.

Hyderabad, Faridabad, Jasidih, Dharuhera, Thimmapur, Vijayawada, Chennai, Thrissur, Wada, Sathariya, and Balasore are all home to the company's offices. Fibre Cement roofing sheets (under the brand name Charminar), Autoclaved Aerated Concrete blocks and panels (under the brand name Aerocon), Calcium Silicate insulation products (under the brand name HYSIL), Jointing material for Gaskets, and Plant and machinery are all part of HIL's product catalogue.

In addition to supplying Aerocool roof blocks for cooling indoors to the residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, the company also supplies flex-O-boards for false ceilings, partitions, panelling, sign boards, return air boxing, air cooling ducts, table tops, sandwich panels, and partition walls, toilets, panel doors, cabinet shelves, and half-height partitions.

The firm also provides flat products, autoclaved aerated concrete blocks, and material handling and processing plant and equipment, in addition to thermal insulation products like calcium silicate blocks and pipe coverings for boilers, blast furnace shafts, annealing furnaces, preheater cyclones, steam pipelines for cement, power, petrochemical, and fertiliser plants.

With retroactive effect from November 11, 1985, the firm changed its name to Hyderabad Industries Limited for the 1984-1985 fiscal year. The firm acquired its industrial licence for manufacturing Size Reduction and Size Separation Equipment in the same year that it began trial production of Thermal Insulation manufacture (Refractories) at its new factory in Dharuhere (Haryana) in 1985–1986.

Between 1994 and 1995, the firm signed a technical partnership agreement with Peiner Hebe-und Transportsysteme, Germany, to produce Tower Cranes. Additionally, in 1995–1996, the business signed a technical partnership agreement with Nippon Gasket Company Limited, Japan, to produce jointing of international quality to fulfil OEM requirements.

The firm established a factory in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, to manufacture fibre cement sheets and accessories in 1996–1997. The firm started making Fibre Cement sheets for the public in 1998–1999 in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. The company's AAC Blocks Project in Chennai began trial production this year.

The business began shipping Fibre Cement plants to the Americas in 2002–2003. They built a new fibrous Cement Sheeting Plant in Eastern Uttar Pradesh in 2003–2004.
