GNA Axles Limited is one of the most prominent producers of rear axle shafts in India, serving the on-highway and off-highway vehicle markets, respectively. Since its initial deliveries in 1995 and its first exports in 2002-2003, the company has expanded to the point where it produced more than 2.26 million components in Fiscal Year 2016.

It manufactures and supplies a wide variety of rear axle shafts, other shafts, and spindles for the on-highway segment, which includes light commercial vehicles (also abbreviated as "LCVs"), medium commercial vehicles (also abbreviated as "MCVs"), and heavy commercial vehicles (also abbreviated as "HCVs"), in addition to other types of transport vehicles, such as buses.

The company also manufactures and supplies a diverse range of rear axle shafts and other shafts for the off-highway segment. These shafts are used for agricultural tractors and machinery, forestry and construction equipment, electric carts, and other specialty vehicles used in the mining and defense sectors. In addition, it makes solid and hollow spindles for use in the axle assembly of various on-highway vehicles and equipment, which are then supplied to the company's international clients. Unit I of GNA Axles' manufacturing facilities can be found in the village of Mehtiana, in the district of Hoshiarpur, Punjab; Unit II of GNA Axles' manufacturing facilities can be found in the village of Gulabgarh Jattan, in the district of Kapurthala, Punjab.

Both of these production facilities have been awarded the ISO/TS 16949:2009 certification, which enables them to produce rear axle shafts, along with other shafts and spindles, for use in automotive applications. On September 6, 1993, in Jalandhar, the public limited company known as GNA Axles Limited was established. On April 5, 1994, the Company was granted a certificate that authorized its official launch into business.

During the fiscal year that concluded on March 31, 2017, the firm completed its Initial Public Offering by exchanging 6300000 equity shares for Rs 10/- each for cash at a premium of Rs 197/- per share, which totaled Rs 130.41 crore. The issue was available for purchase beginning on the 14th of September and continued through the 16th of September, 2017.
