In urban and rural areas of India, Future Consumer Limited (formerly Future Consumer Enterprise Limited) is a significant distributor of FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) food and processed food products. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) once governed the corporation while it operated as a non-deposit-taking, non-bank financial institution (NBFC). Due to an application filed by the business, the RBI revoked the firm's Certificate of Registration in an order dated July 21, 2015. As a result, the firm is no longer classified as an NBFC. At the end of March 2018, the Company has 21 affiliates. Starting on September 30, 2013, the Company's name was changed from Future Ventures India Limited to Future Consumer Enterprise Limited. As of Friday, October 13, 2016, the firm will be known as Future Consumer Limited.

The Company's subsidiary, Integrated Food Park Private Limited (IFPPL), in collaboration with the Ministry of Food Processing Industries Government of India, has established a world-class India Food Park facility that offers full-service food processing from farm to fork (including grading, sorting, pulping, packaging, and distribution).

More than 600 metric tons (MT) of fruit and vegetables are processed by Future Consumer's Fruits and Vegetable division every day, with the supply coming from 23 collection locations and 1710 registered farmers. Subhikshith Finance & Investments Ltd., now known as Future Ventures India Ltd., was founded as a public limited company on July 10, 1996. In 1996, the Company's Tamil Nadu office opened for business. The RBI issued them a registration certificate as a 'non-deposit-taking company' (NBFC) on March 9, 1998. On August 10, 2001, the business became a private limited company under Subhikshith Finance & Investments Pvt Ltd. When the Company changed its name to Subhikshith Finance & Investments Pvt Ltd in 2007, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issued a new certificate of registration permitting it to operate as a non-deposit-taking company.

The Company is a 100% Pantaloon Future Ventures Ltd subsidiary, established on July 14, 2007. In addition, Subhikshith Finance & Investments Pvt Ltd. became Future Ventures India Pvt Ltd. The Company went public on September 7, 2007, changing its name to Future Ventures India Limited. Change to Future Ventures India Ltd. also resulted in a new certificate of registration to operate as a non-deposit-taking company from the Reserve Bank of India.
