About Borosil Renewables
India's sole manufacturer of solar glass is Borosil Renewables Ltd. It is a division of the Borosil Company recognized for the "BOROSIL®" brand, which produces a variety of consumer, scientific, and lab goods.
The current production capacity was recently increased to 2.5 GW annually.
By Q1 FY22, the company expects to produce 5.0 GW equivalent of solar glass, having added another 2.5 GW equivalent.
Some of the recent product releases include Selene, an anti-glare solar glass appropriate for PV installations close to airports. Shakti is a matt-matt solar glass with very high efficiency. The anti-soiling layer on the solar glass.
The company has also received awards for its excellent work in this field. In terms of education, the Friends of Tribals Society, a program of the Borosil Foundation, encourages the education of the lowest socioeconomic groups.
In the Govali village, the firm established and is currently operating CKG Highschool, a CBSE-affiliated school. They have contributed to the establishment of the "Shroff SR Rotary Institute of Chemical Technology" in Bharuch as well as the Gram Vikas Trust's "Vidyasaathi Project."
The Borosil Foundation assists the Indian Cancer Society in raising awareness of the accessibility of cancer screening. They offer complimentary meals to cancer patients and donate money to Tata Memorial Hospital for medical aid for the costs of initiating and treating diverse patients.
