Company history dates back to April 19, 1995, when it was formally established in Ahmedabad under the name "Airan Consultants Private Limited" by the corporation's Act 1956. After some time, on January 4, 2017, the company's name was changed to "Airan Private Limited," and the Registrar of Companies issued a new certificate of incorporation to reflect the new name. As a result of the firm's transformation into a public limited company, its name was changed to "Airan Limited," and a new certificate of incorporation on January 18, 2017; effective date was issued by the registrar of companies.

In the 1990s, the organisation set out to become a provider of computer coaching services. In the 1990s, computer coaching programmes were established by the late Shri Viswanath Bhimsen Agrawal and Mr Sandeep Agrawal as a sole proprietorship called Arrow Computer Systems ('ACS').

Between 1995 and 2000, it began processing manual clearing through computerised listing for initial public offerings (IPOs), including 100% reconciliation of dividend warrants, listing and reconciliation of refund orders, and listing and reconciliation of refund orders for many public sector banks.

As private sector banks opened and MNCs expanded into India, the company experienced rapid expansion in 2001. That same year, the company reached agreements with several financial institutions, including HDFC Bank Ltd., UTI Bank Ltd., and Citibank N.A., marking yet another turning point that propelled it forward.

In 2003, the business diversified by beginning to handle utility bill payments for several different utility providers and by providing end-to-end (E2E) solutions for the initial public offering financing programme of Centurion Bank of Punjab.

From 2004 to 2014, the company served as the sole coordinator for the Cash Management Services (CMS) operations of numerous banks in Gujarat and Rajasthan. These banks included Standard Chartered Bank, Deutsche Bank, ICICI Bank, IDBI Bank, etc. The company also handled clearing operations for Citibank NA at nine branches in Western India.
