Aegis Logistics Limited imports and distributes LPG and has a terminal to store and distribute LPG and other chemicals. The business has warehouses in Mumbai, Haldia, Pipavav, Kochi, and Mangalore. As a full-service logistics provider, the Aegis Group handles everything from LPG procurement and terminal operations to last-mile delivery to retail outlets. As of March 31, 2019, the Company has nine subsidiaries (7 of which were owned) engaged in similar and related activities to those of the parent company. When transporting oil, gas, and chemicals, Aegis Logistics is unrivaled. The company focuses on the oil, gas, chemical, and petrochemical industries, offering logistical support. Aegis is a critical partner for global supply chain management services for large clients like Oil PSUs due to their central locations and necessary services.

Aegis Logistics Ltd., formerly known as Atul Drug House Ltd., was founded on June 30, 1956, as a private limited corporation. It was in 1962 that the business set up a shop in Kandla to produce its first batch of formaldehyde and hexamine. In 1967, they opened a second factory in Capi, Gujarat State, to have 144,000 metric tons of formaldehyde and 540,000 metric tons of hexamine annually. With assistance from Joset Meissner of West Germany, the firm opened a shop in Vapi in 1970 to produce 1200 metric tons of pentaerythritol formaldehyde per year. On September 14th, 1976, the company's name was changed to Atul Chemical Industries Ltd. They also changed their legal status to that of a public limited corporation.

The business purchased all of the shares of Shell Gas (LPG) India Pvt Ltd. on April 1, 2010. As of April 1, 2010, SGLIPL was a wholly-owned subsidiary of SGLI. Aegis Gas (LPG) Pvt Ltd. replaced SCLIPL as the company's official name (AGPL). During the 2010–11 fiscal year, the firm was recognized for its Aegis experience in Liquid Logistics and Operations & Maintenance when it was granted the contract to maintain the Bharat Oman Refinery Ltd's (BORL) product storage and dispatch operations at Bina, Madhya Pradesh.

In addition, the company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Aegis Gas (LPG) Pvt Ltd (AGPL), purchased all of the equity interests in Hindustan Aegis LPG Ltd (HAL PG) from the company's former stockholders. Therefore, HAL PG is no longer an affiliate but an owned subsidiary of AGPL. The business sub-leased over 100 acres of property from APM Terminals Pipavav in November 2010 to construct a worldwide oil and petrochemical storage facility. The company plans to build a 600,000 KL oil terminal complex at Port Pipavav, which costs up to Rs 400 crore ($90m). Due to this project, the company's liquid capacity will increase from 300,000 KL to over 1,000,000 KL.

Aegis Logistics began the Pipavav - Phase I Greenfield project in February 2013 to construct a liquid terminal with a 120000 KL and to increase the storage capacity of the pressurized gases terminal by 400 metric tons.

Investments undertaken in the previous year in the liquid terminals industry, ranging from de-bottlenecking to the completion of the new terminal at Haldia Dock Complex, benefited Aegis Logistics' terminalling business for the fiscal year ended 31 March 2014.
